Barley Lightfoot: Intro
Barley Lightfoot is an animated character from the 2020 Disney animated feature film named “Onward”. In the film he is an elf and elder brother of Ian , who the main lead character of the film . Barley in the film portrayed as Ian’s mentor , who also safeguard him as a protector and he is best friend of Ian. Barley is 19-year-old , he is someone who loves magic and engage himself in game play related to fantasy .He is a free spirit by nature but he is a bit more into past than present, he will put his life on stake to safeguard historical landmarks .Barley is too much indulge into past, which prevent him from finding successes in present .
Personality: Barley Lightfoot
Barley Lightfoot is almost opposite of his younger brother Ian , main lead of the movie who is quiet , awkward and small , whereas Barley is loud , mercurial and large. He has a free -spirited personality , who easily gets into trouble . His younger brother Ian who doesn’t have any memories related to his father , but Barley can tell even small details about their father and describe him well with the memories which he has . Barley is protective and caring brother ,who has faith in his younger brother , and he always has his back . Barley believes that Ian has ability to bring their father back to life and even call magic back to their place.
That’s why throughout Ian’s life , Barley kept encouraging him and making him believe in himself and motivating him to try new things . He also tells his brother to stop doubting himself and rise up it , and focus on his aim . Barley has positive and carefree personality , but eventually he also has his own issues and regrets in his life . Barley is not able to get rid of memories of his father’s last moment , at that time he was too afraid to say goodbye to his father . From then onward Barley decide that we won’t be afraid anymore . In the film you will see Barley’s confidence and knowledge helps in playing Quest of Yore which will take them far in their real-life quest . But this confidence of Barley makes Ian doubtful about his ideas.
Appearance
Barley Lightfoot has a large and muscular body, with bluish skin complexion, his ear tips are pink whereas his cheek apples and eyes are hazel in colour. talking about his attire he wears t-shirt on which “QUEST OF YORE” brand Q is printed on it, and a black colour beanie, on the top of T-shirt he wears Demin vest which has a lot of patches on it and a green coloured short and for the footwears he wears black and white large sneakers. Barley’s face which looks alike his mother Laurel Lightfoot’s face, in shape of round which has nose with tough, muscular physique.
