Hisoka Morow, is also known as the Hisoka, Hisoka the Magician and the Grim Reaper. He is one of the main antagonists of the anime and the Japanese manga series named as Hunter x Hunter.

Hisoka is also former associate of the Phantom troupe, and a magician and a serial killer, who is always in search for the strong competent/opponents, going so far as to spare those who have great abilities, such as Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck. To Gon and Killua, the is both their enemy and ally based on the situation was. Hisoka serves as the main antagonist of both the Heaven’s Area arc and the hunter Exam Arc, and a supporting character in both the Yorknew City arc and the Greed Island arc, plays a major antagonist in the 13^th Hunter Chairman Election arc.

In the year 1999 in the anime series, he was voiced by the Hiroki Takahashi in the Japanese version and Brendan Hunter in the English. In the 2011 anime series, Hisoka was voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese version and Keith Silverstein (who also voiced many more i.e., Johan Libert, Chairman Rose, Masayoshi Shide, Aaroniero Arruruerie, Hawk Moth, Deep Sea King, Dr. Wily, Doctor Tomoe, and the Cat Mask seller) in English.

Hisoka: Appearance

Hisoka’s appearance is that like a joker or alike jester. He is a having a tall height that is 6’2″ and a thin man of about 28 years. Hisoka has a red hair that mainly points upwards direction. He has also light skin shade. On his face, Hisoka paints his left cheek with a fuchsia star and his right cheek with a green teardrop. He has also a yellow-golden eyes which mostly seem to be giving out an eerie look on most of the time. At the time of Greed Island Arc, Hisoka wears the Greed Island Ring on his left side of middle finger.

And in the 13^th Hunter Chairman election Arc, Hisoka wears a pair of earrings with design of some ornamental hearts. For some unidentified unknown reasons, he has a long, pointed nails, giving his hands a claw-like appearance, and hinting towards his sinister nature.

In his very first appearance in the year 1999 anime series, Hisoka’s hair is of blue colour. After a revamp of the show, it was totally got replaced with a red or almost neon pink colour to be in accordance with the manga series. In the year 2011 anime series, Hisoka has a red hair and light amber coloured eyes. In the manga series, during the Yorknew city Arc, Hisoka has dyed his hair to light green. These terrible and dynamic variations in appearance explained the complexity of his character.

Hisoka attire is usually adorned and accessorize with the several suit symbols on the back and the front torso, and he also changes the outfits in each story arc.

Personality

His personality is mainly displayed as a cocky, boastful, self-serving, and hedonistic man. He has an insane blood lust and he also enjoys fighting with strong opponents/competent. While He does like Gon, Killua, and many others, he has also stated that for him, what is valuable one day could easily become trash the next, and Hisoka will not even hesitate to kill anyone should they not meet to his standards.
